“ I always said to myself that if one day I was led to do a collaboration, it would be with Nike ”. Jacquemus confided in Vogue on the occasion of the release of his long-awaited collaboration with the American giant Nike !
The French designer is one of the most fashionable designers of recent years thanks to his colorful collections but also his audacious and unusual parades. For this revisit, Simon Porte Jacquemus, originally from Provence, was inspired by one of his favorite sneakers from the American brand, the Air Humara , released for the first time in 1997.
While a full collection will be revealed at a show in Arles on June 27, the designer gave us a preview of the sneaker, the Nike Air Humara , on Instagram.
The mythical pair has been declined in 2 colors , one with beige and cream tones while the second wears chocolate brown tones .
Their original, rather raw appearance has been redesigned to offer a sleek and elegant model . The usually imposing Nike logo has been swapped for a more discreet gold logo , while that of Jacquemus is visible on the tongues and under the soles. There are also two beige suede side bands reminiscent of the color of the laces.
The result perfectly transcribes the Jacquemus aesthetic!

A promising collaboration between the two brands that allows them to open up the field of possibilities and reach a new clientele.
