The story of The White Lotus revolves around several hotel guests vacationing for a week while relaxing and rejuvenating at the White Lotus Resort, but with each passing day darker complexities emerge from these perfect travelers, from the cheerful hotel staff and the idyllic resort itself. . .
The White Lotus season 2 finale said goodbye to a character just as loving as her wild theme song, Tanya McQuoid. The death of Jennifer Coolidge's beloved character tragically ended her two-season arc, but even in death there's speculation that Tanya's story will continue into Season 3. Obviously, we know that her husband Greg is still there, and some might be overlooking a very important character connected to all of this, her assistant Portia, played by Haley Lu Richardson.
Portia was, at times, more in the story than Tanya, and given the events of Season 2, there is an opportunity to resolve her story in Season 3. With plenty of time until Season 3, here are some ways The White Lotus could and should resolve its story in the upcoming season.
White Lotus Season 3 Renewal Confirmed
White Lotus Season 3 was confirmed by HBO in November, just weeks after the debut of the second season. The rapid renewal is not surprising, considering that the series has performed well in the ratings. The audience for the penultimate episode of Season 2 surpassed the anthology's previous record, amassing 2.8 million viewers on HBO's platforms.
Who will star in The White Lotus season 3?
The second season of the series allowed viewers to discover new characters played by the following actors, Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Michael Imperioli, Will Sharpe, Beatrice Grannò, Haley Lu Richardson and Adam Di Marcoet. But Jennifer Coolidge, already in the Emmy-winning first season, stood out again - the question of whether she could reprise the role of Tanya was answered in the season 2 finale, however.A familiar face might be packing for the third season, though: Connie Britton, who played power woman Nicole in the first season, said she was originally set to return for the second season. "He wanted me to be in the second season, and there was an idea that I liked for the character," she told Deadline. Our intention is to do so in the third season. Some of the casting didn't work in the second season and we hope to [do] that in the third season. I would love to see a spin-off on every character in this series. »
