What future for the Twitter platform with the new president Elon Musk

After taking over the general management of the company “Twitter” which he recently acquired for 44 billion dollars. American billionaire Elon Musk is already leaving his mark on the blue bird platform.

To properly manage his new company, Musk started by reviewing the latest code with the help of the famous company "Tesla Inc." , a team of engineers, experts and powerful friends whom he trusted. when making important product decisions.
So far, the 16-year-old new owner of the platform "Twitter" has planned significant changes. According to "Bloomberg", Elon Musk seeks to achieve five main objectives, which are:

Reduce the number of employees

Twitter employees have already braced for layoffs since Elon Musk took office, laying off the management team, including CEO Parag Agrawal.
The director and deputy director positions were eliminated, and other managers were asked over the weekend to prepare lists of employees from their teams who could be eliminated at 50% from the "Twitter" company.

Leadership changes

Musk turned to friendly experts for advice in the early days of his ownership of Twitter, including Sriram Krishnan, the former CEO of Twitter.
According to "Bloomberg", the CEO of Tesla is looking for new leaders. Noting that the former CEO of the Twitter platform, Kovin Beckfort is highly recommended as a potential full-time leader. The latter was previously fired by the company's former CEO.

Revive the "Vine" app

The new president and general manager of the company "Twitter" aims at the revival of the "Vine" application for creating short videos, which was acquired by Twitter in 2012. It was a popular short video application, but it disappeared after the release of "Tik Tok" and the massive orientation of Internet users to "YouTube Rails" and others.
A number of employees volunteered to work on the "Vine" project in hopes that volunteering would help them not be fired from their jobs.

Billing for blue "verify" sign

In addition to all the changes discussed, Elon Musk wants to introduce a kind of monthly subscription for users who have the blue badge. According to people familiar with the matter. The president of "Tesla" has instructed a team to do so, "under the threat of canceling their roles if they do not achieve it in 7 days".

Moderation in the content of tweets

Musk's proposal to make Twitter a haven for "free speech" remains unclear so far. He said he would delay making a decision about which banned users to restore until he could seek advice from outside experts.
Insiders reported that Elon raised many questions on a number of policies and focused on some of the specific rules he wanted the team to look into. The first is the general misinformation policy, which penalizes posts containing lies about topics such as election results and COVID-19. Musk wants the policy to be more specific, according to people familiar with the matter.
Musk also asked the team to review Twitter's hateful conduct policy, specifically the section that says "users may be penalized for targeted forgery or murder of transgender people."
According to the sources, employees are not currently able to edit or sanction accounts that violate rules around misinformation, abusive messages and hate speech, but the most serious violations that can cause real harm are addressed in the real world.
