Melissa Shoes is a brand of vegan shoes born in Brazil in 1979. Alexandre and Pedro Grendene are the two creator brothers of the brand, in a short time they have made Melissa an exceptional phenomenon in the world of fashion. It is also one of the first brands to collaborate with renowned designers in 1983, when its first collaborations were with Jean-Paul Gautier and Thierry Mugler. The primary objective of Melissa Shoes is to design eco-responsible and sustainable pairs of shoes, it has been striving for more than 40 years to respect the planet and tries to adopt ecological practices in its manufacture. This makes Melissa a cruelty-free brand, and 100% recyclable. Thanks to Melflex®, the brand's own PVC, each pair of lemon balm is flexible, comfortable and resistant.

Thanks to the vegan Melflex she uses in the design of her shoes, Melissa shoes and recognized by the Vegan Society of the United Kingdom. A type of malleable and thermoformable PVC that was developed to facilitate innovation and experimentation in the design of comfortable and durable footwear and accessories, Melflex is composed of PVC, plasticizer, pigments and additives which are all of plant origin.
All pairs of shoes, ankle boots / boots , heels , platforms , sandals , mules are made of a synthetic insole with a density of 6 mm which ensures extraordinary comfort.
In addition to its sustainable commitment to the manufacture of its shoes, Melissa France is also concerned with the shipping method, which must follow an ecological and eco-responsible method. The 100% paper packaging of our vegan shoes is low impact, as it is made mainly from 63% recycled materials. This reduces CO2 emissions by 64%.
