Melissa at Paris Fashion Week

Posted by INDIGITAL Collaborator on

We start the year very strong with a big presence of Melissa during

this last fashion week. Two magnificent collaborations have been released: Y Project and Viktor&Rolf

Let's start with the first collab, Y-Project. We teamed up with Glenn Martens on a pair of mules. This unexpected shoe marks the first draft of our collab, an additional release of shoes will be released in the coming months.

Since Glenn Martens' appointment as Creative Director of Y/PROJECT in 2013, the Parisian label has combined conceptual and inventive details with playful proportions and a witty take on historical references. At the heart of Y/PROJECT, Martens has since emphasized individuality and independence. Fusing street energy with thought-provoking silhouettes, his unique take on masculinity and femininity blends eccentric references with unisex looks that transcend versatility. Today, Y/PROJECT is one of the most anticipated shows of Paris fashion week, with its finger firmly on the pulse of the city's vibrant eclectic new wave.

The low-heeled pump features a glass-like texture influenced by the Rococo period. Available in clear and translucent black, the design is textured with a pointed toe. “This eco-friendly collaboration reflects one girl's dream of wearing a crystal shoe but with all the comfort that Melissa is known for,” Martens comments on the style.

In addition to pumps, Y/Project and Melissa will soon unveil slides with a Persian rug pattern. Both shoe options will release in May, with mules priced at $250 and beach slides at $98.

Now let's move on to our 2nd collab and the 2nd time we've collaborated with them, Viktor & Rolf!

Fashion is filled with a sense of spring awakening. It seems like everyone wants to spread their wings and mix and mingle. Even self-proclaimed introverts Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are in the mood to party: They describe their latest collection as a “couture rave.”

"For this season, we were in the mood for something visibly opposite, something that is...essentially an escape into a party vibe."

To illustrate these ideas, Viktor&Rolf has revisited Melissa FW20's Coturno boots by making them more colorful, ideal for that festive spirit that we all need right now!

The Viktor&Rolf collab will be available on our website melissashoesfrance.com in Fall 2021 and also in their respective stores.
